Allen Jones has lived in San Francisco since 1960.

In the course of his activism on other matters concerning San Francisco, Jones noticed, and was surprised, as a 49er fan to hear that in December 2011, the NFL had loaned the San Francisco 49ers $200 million to build a new stadium 35 miles south of San Francisco.

Aware of the NFL’s "Commitment to the Community Letter" dated June 15, 2011 made it even harder to believe. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell promised to support communities that support the NFL. But six months later, in December 2011, the NFL owners voted to loan the 49ers $200 million to leave the Black community of San Francisco that had supported the team for the last 40 years of the team's 67 years being in the city.

Jones firmly believes any sports team has the right to take its business anywhere it can make the most profit. However, there is a right way to leave and a wrong way to leave. Jones believes something was seriouly wrong with how the team moved away from San francisco's struggling Black community.

Looking into the matter further, Jones discovered more blatant hypocrisy by elected city officials of San Francisco concerning the 49er departure. That has caused Jones to revolt as a fan of not only the 49ers but also as a fan of "Everyone's favorite city."

In respect for the struggling Bayview Hunters Point where Candlestick Park was located and respect for the name San Francisco, Jones felt the duty to fight back.

The work of a miser not a mayor

In my opinion, the Candlestick Park lease amendment vote set for Tuesday June 5, 2012 by the Board of Supervisors is a scam plain and simple.

The 49ers are trying to get out of the last year of their contractual obligation for the year 2015.

Sepervisors should be asking why not secure the "Host City" of the 2016 Super Bowl then talk about amending the lease in say, October when the NFL will make its decision. If SF is not selected, the 49ers will be obligated to pay the 2015 lease.

The NFL will take applications this summer for the 2016 "Host City" of that seasons Super Bowl.

Why vote to amend the Candlestick lease?  Supervisor Mark Farrell at the urging of Mayor Lee has proposed letting the 49ers out of their lease one year early for a chance to be the host city of the 2016 Super Bowl. However, this sounds like the idea of a miser not a mayor.

First of all it is not 100% sure that the 49ers will get to host the 2016 Super Bowl. Therefore, if they are not selected by the "Super Bowl Advisory" and the City Hall already let the 49ers out of their lease early, the 49ers will have no obligation to the final year of their contract with the city.

Furthermore, just think if you had a tenant who took a billion dollar project away from you, and then that same tenant came back to ask you to cut the final year of their $6 million lease. Nobody is that stupid. However, is you package this scam in a get rich quick scheme, it can be overlooked.

Something if fishy here. Start with the fact that Supervisor Cohen told me to my face that, "the city will be made whole" (not lose anything). Then why the extra paper work? She is more then likely to vote to amend the lease but her district is to receive the upfront fee of a million dollars.

The Big Three at City Hall

It is hard not to use the term "The Three Stooges" when there is so much glaring evidence but I'll just say, these guys are nuts.

Supervisor Mark Farrell, selling the integrity of San Francisco in a get rich quick scheme to possibly net the city "Hundreds of millions"

Farrell has proposed that San Francisco allow the 49ers out of their Candlestick Park lease a year early in an attempt to receiver favor from the team in a possible "Host City" role in the bidding for the 2016 Super Bowl L (50). At the 3hr 35min 33sec mark of this video from SFGovtv. May 8, 2012 regular Board of Supervisors meeting.

Listening to his presentation with misinformation, (the loan to the 49ers from the NFL for the stadium was $200 million not "$150 million") Farrell, is willing to grant a favor, in other words do further business with the 49ers who turned their backs on a struggling SF community to possibly bring in future revenue.

City Hall is paying Supervisor Sean Eldsbernd to shut up.

He admitted that he was told to not say what he felt for "six years" in hopes of getting what he wanted.

Board of Supervisors Budget and oversight committee 5/24/12, Supervisor Elsbernd at the 24min. 55sec. mark of this video.

He is also delusional, saying that he has seen that new stadiums produce Super Bowl parades. Fact, ONE!

Mayor Ed Lee offers a new solution to fighting crime

His solution to the crime of the 49er departure as reported by Stephine Lee SF Chronicle 4/15/12

"Yes, we have lost the 49ers playing their games in the city in a few years," Lee told the audience at the Commonwealth Club on Tuesday. "And I'll admit it, it stung a bit."

But Lee said the blow was softened by the upcoming America's Cup regatta in 2013 and the Golden State Warriors' exploration of arena sites in the city. He said the basketball team is looking into moving across the bay from Oakland.

"Then there's this NBA franchise that wants to be part of the success of this city," Lee said. "I want to welcome them. ... I'm not going to ever apologize for grabbing somebody else's team. Someone did it to us."

Now that's real leadership. NOT!
